It\u2019s going to discover<br \/>the multi-cultural facets of Morocco.<br \/><strong>What To Expect :<\/strong><br \/><strong>1 st \u00a0Day : departure at 7h00a.m<\/strong><\/p><p><br \/><strong>A.- CASABLANCA VISITS<\/strong><br \/><strong>\u00a01 Hassan II Mosque :<\/strong>\u00a0Built on the sea, translation of the Coran verse that proclaims God\u2019s throne was<br \/>built upon water. The mosque is a truly marvelous piece of architecture. Huge monument, it can<br \/>accomodate 25.000 worshipers inside and 80.000 more outside. The founder, King Hassan II, desired for<br \/>the city to be endowed with a large, fine building of which it can be proud until the end of time. The<br \/>mosque\u2019s most exquisite examples of Moroccan craftsmanship are the blankets of zellij, some designs more<br \/>than 10m high. The mosque is one of the world\u2019s largest.\u00a0<br \/><strong>2 Casablanca\u00a0 Rick\u2019s Caf\u00e9<\/strong> :\u00a0the spirit of the movie Casablanca is alive and well in downtown. Madam<br \/>Rick, an American woman who had lived in Morocco, had restored a multilevel former medina residence to<br \/>resemble the era depicted in the movie, dominated by a central courtyard with its authentic 1930\u2019s Pleyel<br \/>piano.\u00a0<br \/><strong>3 Place des Nations Unies<\/strong> :\u00a0or United Nations square in some planes : administrative center of<br \/>Casablanca with very beautiful buildings designed in the 1920\u2019s by a french architect. The square is<br \/>bordered by the Wilaya ( main government office ) flanked by a tower with clock; the courthouse; a<br \/>beautiful musical and luminous fountain (at night) around which hundreds of pigeons come to eat the<br \/>grains offered by the visitors and drink the fountain water.<\/p><p><br \/><strong>B.- RABAT VISITS<\/strong><br \/><strong>4 Chellah necropolis :<\/strong>\u00a0it is both a Roman ruin and Islamic burial place. As the roman city of Sala Colonia,<br \/>it was a bustling trading post of the empire\u2019s southernmost colony from A.D 40 onward, and was one of the<br \/>lst to eventually sever links with the empire.<br \/>\u00a0<strong>5 Mausoleum of Mohammad V<\/strong> :\u00a0The Hassan tower &amp;amp; mausoleum of Mohammed V : Hassan Tower or<br \/>Sawm\u2019at Hassan in Arabic, referring to the significant minaret shaft following the special Moroccan and<br \/>Spanish style of architecture of the same time. The minaret was projected to be the largest of its type of all<br \/>time around the world, yet \u2013 unfortunately \u2013 the construction processes stopped suddenly following the<br \/>sudden death of al-Mansur in 1199.<br \/><strong>\u00a06 Kasbah of Oudayas<\/strong> :\u00a0The Oudaya Kasbah is a haven of tranquility, with its flower-filled little streets,<br \/>Andalusian garden, and Moorish caf\u00e9. Referred to also as Kasbah of the Udayas, the Oudaya Kasbah is one<br \/>of the most unique sites in Morocco and is the first milestone of the city of Rabat. It\u2019s located at the mouth<br \/>of the Bou Regreg River, opposite the city of Sal\u00e9, in Rabat, Morocco. UNESCO recognized the significance<br \/>of the Oudaya Kasbah and added it to the World Heritage Tentative List in 2006.<br \/>\u00a0First night in a sumptuous Riad in the Medina of Fes El Bali<\/p><p><strong>2 nd \u00a0Day : departure at 9h00a.m<\/strong><\/p><p><br \/><strong>C.- FES VISITS<\/strong><br \/>\u00a0Fes is the spiritual heart of Morocco and is the most ancient, and indeed the greatest, of the country\u2019s<br \/>imperial cities. It\u2019s one of the undisputed highlights of any visit to Morocco. Within the walls of its Medina,<br \/>Fes Al Bali (Old Fes), lies the world\u2019s largest intact medieval city. More than 9,500 narrow streets and dim<br \/>alleyways wind endlessly up and down, around and around, crammed with people, music, noise, and<br \/>smells. Whether arriving from within Morocco or elsewhere, nothing can prepare you for this assault of the<br \/>senses.\u00a0<br \/><strong>7 Bounaniya Medersa<\/strong> :\u00a0As a theological college and dormitories built by the Merenid dynasty, Bouaniya<br \/>Medersa is a group of buildings built between 1350 and 1356 by Sultan Abou Inan. It simultaneously<br \/>functioned as both an educational institute and as a congregational mosque, and accommodated shops and<br \/>a large public latrine along the front fa\u00e7ade. Zellij, carved wood and panels of stucco, originally a mix of<br \/>plaster and egg whites, finely carved with Coranic verses, decorate every available surface of the courtyard.<br \/>Wood mashrabiyya screens separate the marble-paved courtyard from the arcaded corridors leading to the<br \/>student rooms.\u00a0<br \/><strong>8 Chouwara Tannery<\/strong> :\u00a0a picture straight out of medieval times, The Chouara Tannery is the larges and<br \/>busiest of the four traditional tanneries still operating in the medina. Sheep, goat and cow skins are cured,<br \/>stretched, scraped and dyed in numerous honeycombed earthen pits in a process that is still as manual as<br \/>when it began in the 1th century upon the decline of Cordoba.\u00a0<br \/><strong>9 Karaouiyine Mosque<\/strong> :\u00a0and University : the most important mosque in Morocco, and one of the oldest<br \/>university in the world, it was built in 859 by Fatima Al Fihriya, the daughter of a wealthy immigrant from<br \/>Kairaouane (Tunisia) and by the 10th century had become the congregational mosque of the Karaouiyine<br \/>quarter of the medina. The Hassan II Mosque is awe inspiring. Rick\u2019s Cafe was another highlight- charming and fun- and we didn\u2019t mind that it\u2019s a tourist attraction, we were tourists after all. Nour is very knowledgeable about his country, we both learned so much and got a real feel for the place. We particularly enjoyed the historical facts and sites he showed us- spots visited by the likes of Churchill, the original Casa Blanca (White House), and many more. Defiantly worth doing. It is about 3 hrs from Marrakesh, but Casablanca is a lovely city. We were sooo very fortunate to have Noor as our guide. He not only made the experience above and beyond, but one I will never forget. His knowledge and experience made the tour where you just didn't want it to end..... He explained not only the city and it's history, but Morocco and the cultures as well. Two points that warmed my heart......the 1943 meeting place w\/ Churchill and Roosevelt and the other was Noor treated us to the most outstanding fruit smoothie I ever had! (plus made sure our lunch was perfect)   I have been on quite a few tours but this was exceptional by far! Noor is a fantastic tour guide. He took my mother, sister, and me on a full day to Casablanca, where we got to see the city in just one day. We went to all the tourist places and the local spots that Noor knows well. Noor's English is amazing, which allowed my sister and me to learn high-level concepts about Morroco that we were very curious about. Noor's knowledge is extremely extensive, he knows everything! Noor is also extremely nice and a gentleman, he opened the door for my mother every time! Not only Noor was knowlegable, courteous, pleasant, friendly, he was also very attentive to every detail of the tour to Casablanca. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to know the history of Casablanca and also Morocco since Noor took the time the explain not only the history of Casablanca, but also the history of Morocco. The tour started early at 7AM and the drive to Casablanca was very smooth and pleasant. You get to see the incredible Moroccan sunrise while driving! The Hassan II Mosque is awe inspiring. Rick\u2019s Cafe was another highlight- charming and fun- and we didn\u2019t mind that it\u2019s a tourist attraction, we were tourists after all. Nour is very knowledgeable about his country, we both learned so much and got a real feel for the place. We particularly enjoyed the historical facts and sites he showed us- spots visited by the likes of Churchill, the original Casa Blanca (White House), and many more. Defiantly worth doing. It is about 3 hrs from Marrakesh, but Casablanca is a lovely city. We were sooo very fortunate to have Noor as our guide. He not only made the experience above and beyond, but one I will never forget. His knowledge and experience made the tour where you just didn't want it to end..... He explained not only the city and it's history, but Morocco and the cultures as well. Two points that warmed my heart......the 1943 meeting place w\/ Churchill and Roosevelt and the other was Noor treated us to the most outstanding fruit smoothie I ever had! (plus made sure our lunch was perfect)   I have been on quite a few tours but this was exceptional by far!
